I, too, have used music for flogging. Most of my selections of music is more instrutmental than songs with words in them. I, for the most part, find the lyrics of songs can be a little distracting and can take away from the enjoyment of a flogging. I do make exceptions though. I mean, 17 minutes of Iron Butterfly’s ” In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida ” is really something. I also use music that has been made for movies. Examples are ” Red October “, Terminator 2, Kill Bill Vol1 and Vol2.
oh yes… after all the pain and a little bit of sweet after care, one would feel light and stress relieved. i love giving and receiving a flogging session. downside is you begin to be an endorphin/adrenaline junkie so you would always crave for more.
i am somewhat lucky to have found someone who is able to flog me to the point i would cry in pain. but our sessions are like limited to twice a month because of our distance. but nevertheless i am lucky considering i am in a conservative country where bdsm activities would really be frowned on.

I really like the attitude of all the Japanese I have seen perform. Neither the rigger nor the rope is the focus. They hide behind their model most of the time, giving the model all the attention, which makes the “shaming” more strong. Several techniques are performed in the back, nobody can see what happens with the rope, but they can see what happens in the model’s face.
It’s the same than painting or music. When you create something beautiful, people will say that this is good song, or a beautiful painting. When you have created several good pieces, you may get appreciated as a good artist by your peers. But for many non-specialist, they will not notice this, but see something beautiful in what they are experiencing in the moment, and that should be enough.
My partner does aerial fabric and we have been experimenting with mixing rope and fabric… for pain it seems that both can be more or less painful – it is just a different kind of pain 😉
However I would say that for self-suspension fabric might be the less painful way if you are careful to place the fabric correctlyI have the Njoy pure wand and I love it!
