About 5 years ago, I held a birthday party in my dungeon for one of my then play partners, Leeanne. She and one of her friends, Mia, flogged my butt for the duration of Glenn Miller’s ‘In the Mood’, with each of them whacking each of my buttocks alternately to each beat of the music. They enjoyed themselves so much that I had to undergo a repeat performance! LOL

Once we found the right tool for the job (More like a dust brush instead of something like a cat toy on a stick), and now that I have the technique that my wife seems to enjoy quite a bit: I have found it to be a great way for me to decompress. Her reaction when I get it right is something I enjoy (as does she) quite a bit!

To me it sounds like a lot of riggers have never created any other kind of art. I am a photographer, a writer, and even a bad painter. The person in the rope is part of your art. When they compliment her or him they are complimenting your work, your art, your skill. The rope bottom is just as much part of the art as your rope. It is no different then a person whispering at the painting on the wall. Those that come to you to stroke your ego are not interested in your art but in what they can get from you. There is not greater joy then to observe someone discussing the complexity of a shot and the skills in my photographs. It is also nice when they notice the subjects in them as I thought they where worth placing with my art.

Yep, I’m an aerialist who also does self-suspension/rigging. Love mixing fabric and rope for a zen affect. Nice to cradled the head in a fabric cocoon or drap the material over the suspended person. I also like having a hammock of aerial silk to facilitate staying airborn for dupe rational periods and the diversity of textures etc. I recommend at least 7 yards of fabric. I got 5 yards and found it slightly on the short side. Have fun!
I’ll also add that I use both polyester and tricot fabrics and much prefer the tricot. It’s slippery cool, and if you are buying from FabricDepo in Texas, the cuts are very wide so you have a lot of fabric to play with. It’s also slight transparent which is beautiful.

Just wanted to let everyone here know how helpful this discussion has been for me. the poly couple i have been talking to has insisted that i need to choose a primary, and it is relieving to know that others feel the way that i do about this. that is, that choosing a primary and secondary feels like it is denoting a hierarchy or indicating the relative strength of feeling for each partner.

Your words especially resonated with me. why compare them? enjoy each relationship for what it is and each individual for who they are.

    thank you ^^
